Galicia Leveraging Centre Observatory

The Galicia e-Commerce Leveraging Centre Observatory assesses the current regional economy and e-economy in order to discover local specificities, strong and weak points, and local priorities with special attention to SMEs.
Also, the Observatory makes the latest information about ICT and e-Commerce available for the regional community and will monitor and observe e-Commerce policies and initiatives.
Its aim is to analyze the situation regarding ICT and the region infrastructures, in order to know which are the strong and weak points of Galicia in this field. The studies and analysis will bring this piece of strategic information, so it can be useful for deciding the guidelines of the regional policy and enterprises activities.
The University of Santiago de Compostela participates in this module with enquires to galician SMEs and citizens. Also, collaboration with other observatories in the region is a must, for a deep knowledge of the current situation. These observatories are:

- Proxecto Sensitic (www.sensitic.org),
- Observatorio do Instituto Galego de Estatística (www.ige.xunta.es).
